About the project
Connections is a tool that delivers filtered and real-time leads to the broker, enabling them to engage with these leads within the platform. The contacts section is where the broker has the most access, but due to its architecture, it sometimes hindered the broker's ability to access their connections.
Project target
The main issue with this area was the lack of a simple architecture and filtering capability, making the process of finding a connection complex. Additionally, the cards did not contain the necessary information, making it difficult for the broker to identify the connection.
Design process
In the case of this product, as it was a system with multiple instances, the project began with a study of the needs. Through interviews, stakeholders and their needs were identified using empathy. Subsequently, the main problem was identified and went through a phase of ideation and brainstorming with the key stakeholders. The process concluded with prototyping and usability testing, both for the prototypes and the developed product.

Redesign of the contacts area in Connections, where the broker finds the list of connections and can click to enter the chat area. The main problems identified were:
"Unable to find my connection"
The current contacts area has a complex architecture, making it difficult for brokers to navigate and find their connections efficiently.
"I can't filter my Connections."
There are no effective filtering options available, making the process of searching for specific connections cumbersome and time-consuming.
"I can't distinguish the type of product in the list."
The cards displaying connections lack essential information, leading to difficulties in identifying and understanding each connection's context and relevance.
"If it's not next to the title, I don't know the status of the client."
Accessing the chat area from the contacts list is not intuitive, causing confusion and hindering smooth communication with leads.

The redesign included the addition of quick filters, allowing the broker to filter a connection by status, type of insurance, and date, with the option to choose a specific period or day.
Organization of contacts in chronological order, with new messages always at the top, using a pattern already well-established by applications like WhatsApp, Teams, and various other chat tools.
More information was added to the contact cards, providing clarity about the type of product for each client.

For this project, we created user stories with the aim of helping developers understand the value the tool will deliver to different users and its fundamental functionalities.

As a broker, I want to be able to quickly find specific connections by applying filters based on status, insurance type, and date, so I can efficiently manage my leads and prioritize follow-ups.
As a broker, I want the contacts to be organized in chronological order, with new messages always displayed at the top, similar to WhatsApp, to ensure I never miss important conversations with leads.
As a broker, I need more detailed information displayed on the contact cards, specifically the type of product, so I can easily identify their needs and tailor my communication accordingly.
As a broker, I want a direct and intuitive access button to the chat area for each connection on the list, enabling me to initiate conversations with leads seamlessly and enhance my engagement with them.
